An Academic Advisor is a faculty member who helps students create an academic plan of study, 确保顺利毕业, 并批准学生注册. 的y are the individuals who sign-off on adding, 下降, and/or withdrawing from classes and are available to help students explore majors, 未成年人, 退课, taking a leave of absence from the college, 等.

你的学术顾问 is listed at the top of your academic evaluation. Your academic advisor for your first-year will be your FYAC instructor. 在你完成第一年的学习之后, you will be assigned an advisor from the academic department of your major.

Each advising cohort, whether first-year or transfer, will have an assigned peer mentor. Peer mentors are current students in your area of interest who are a resource to help as you transition into and learn to navigate Saint Mary's. 的y are available to answer any questions you may have about your time at SMC.

前方向, you will share your academic interests and preferences with us in a Pre-Enrollment Questionnaire. 预注册教授在 谘询处(TAO) will refer to this information while enrolling you in your first semester of classes at SMC. Your schedule will then be shared with you prior to the start of your first term.

During your first-year, you will draft a four-year plan with your Academic Advisor. 为了从圣玛丽中学毕业, you must complete a minimum of 124 units, of which 50 need to be Upper Division course units.
