喇沙修士的使命 & Ministry (LMM) Scholars are part of the 两个-year Lasallian Educator Fellows Program. The LMM Scholars are graduate students enrolled at Saint Mary’s College, 住在校园里, and are also part-time staff members in the 宣教事工中心. They work with other MMC staff members to plan and implement MMC events and programs, and are an integral part of the team which consists of 4-5 staff members and 15+ student leaders.

As part of the Lasallian Educator Fellows Program, the LMM Scholars participate in a (approximately) 两个-year cohort program designed for Saint Mary’s College students and graduates of other schools who are exploring a vocation in education at Lasallian and/or Catholic school systems. 在攻读学位的同时, Fellows participate in a cohort fashion in professional development and formation activities to learn about and engage with Lasallian history, 教育学, 和精神. What does it mean to be a Lasallian educator in today's world? How do educators animate Lasallian core principles in their work with students and colleagues? 通过阅读, reflection and partnership with Christian Brothers and other Lasallian educators, Fellows are invited to reflect on and advance their own priorities as educators.

Specific Responsibilities of LMM Scholars

LMM Scholars will work directly with MMC staff and student leaders in one or more of the MMC’s programmatic areas. Those include: Faith Formation, Liturgy, Liturgical Music, RCIA, Interfaith & 宗教的多样性, Lasallian教育, 瓜达卢佩圣母庆典, 公平的教育, GaelPantry, and/or Retreats The area/s they work in will be explored during a follow up interview, and will be based on the Scholar’s interests, 的优势, 以及MMC的需求.

• Be available for meetings and trainings related to their role throughout the year such as:

• Be actively present at “all hands on deck” MMC events such as:

• Maintain good academic standing in their 研究生 Program

需求

The LMM Scholar position is approximately a 10-11 month commitment for each of the 2 years (aligning with the academic calendar of the 领导 program) and LMM Scholars can expect to work 10-15 per hours per week in the MMC starting the first or second week of August. 这个职位按小时计酬.

One LMM Scholar is chosen per year, and they must be enrolled in the MA in 领导 program.

理想的 applicants would have experience with the Lasallian educational mission. If applicants do not have any past experience, they must at minimum have a desire to grow in their participation in and knowledge of the Lasallian educational mission. 

Experiences most relevant would include:

~Being an alumnus of a Lasallian school (for high school or undergraduate degree)

~Working in a Lasallian school or ministry

• Participate in the Lasallian Educators Fellows Program for 两个 years
• Be willing to explore issues of faith, spirituality, and religion (from any religious or
  non-religious tradition, unless stated in the specific leadership role above)
• Respect diversity of traditions, backgrounds, and opinions... all should feel welcome and that they belong
• Actively seek out collaborations within the MMC, 穿过校园, and off campus - in order to expand impact and reach of MMC events and programs
• Have strong oral and written communication skills
